Compensation: Starting rate of pay is $22.33 - 26.69 hourly, depending on experience.

Schedule: Full-time (40 hrs/wk) Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Employees may be requested or required to occasionally work other days (including weekends), hours and locations to meet operational needs.
Position Details: This is a non-represented, hourly (nonexempt) position. PPCW complies with all Federal and State Covid-19 Vaccine Mandates.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two (2) years of experience as a security guard or similar role.
- Authoritative verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a balanced perspective and remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to identify trends, potential problems, and opportunities and act proactively to address issues.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office, and Google Suite products.
Preferred Qualifications:
- DPSST security certification.
- First Aid/BLS certification.
- Self-defense training and experience.
- Proficiency in Spanish language.
Guest Reception:
- Greet individuals as they enter PPCW facilities.
- Confirm patient, visitor, staff, volunteer, and vendor identities.
- Authorize the entrance of vendors and escort them when necessary.
- Issue key fobs to staff and approved vendors in accordance with organizational policies.
- Support the patient escort and volunteer program.
- Contact law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.
- Checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure facilities are secure.
Patrol Duties:
- Patrol and inspect facilities on a regular basis to detect and deter security violations and unsafe conditions.
- Escort discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and protestor activity occurring at the facility.
- Report suspicious activities to local law enforcement.
- Report mechanical, equipment, and other related operational problems to the facilities team.
- Respond to alarms and react in a timely manner.
- Inspect fire extinguishers and other life safety equipment to ensure compliance with local laws.
Incident Response & Reporting:
- Implement emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Investigate reports of potential criminal conduct against PPCW staff, visitors, and property.
- Respond and assist in restraining and detaining individuals when necessary or at the direction of a police officer; and provide protective services to high-risk areas.
- Prepare and track safety, incident, and lost and found reports.
- Review reports of third-party surveillance activity and record incidents.
Miscellaneous:
- Receive, inspect, and sort mail, supply shipments, and packages.
- Support the development and execution of security training for employees.
- Help manage evacuations during tests and actual emergencies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
