PDQ Staffing is seeking an experienced Blow Mold Operator for a busy warehouse in South Fort Worth.
Location: South Fort Worth
Pay Rate: $25-$28 DOE
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, possible Saturdays
- 6 AM - 2:30 PM, 2PM - 10:30 AM, 10 PM - 6:30 AM
- Must be flexible with hours
Blow Mold Machine Operator Overview:
As a Blow Mold Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in warehouse operations by operating Blow Mold machinery, perform quality assurance tests of machines, and make necessary adjustments to maintain consistent product quality. This position requires a strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to perform a range of duties, including machine operation, quality control assessments, and packaging tasks.
Work Environment of Blow Mold Machine Operator:
This role involves working in a plastics warehouse setting, operating Blow Mold machinery and performing packing tasks. The environment may include exposure to various conditions, and physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and operating machinery will be required.
Requirements of Blow Mold Machine Operator:
- Prior experience as a Blow Mold machine operator
- Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to perform calculations involving all units of measure including using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages
- Strong mechanical knowledge of machines
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondences
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Must be able to walk/stand for an extended period of time
Responsibilities of Blow Mold Machine Operator:
- Continuously monitor Blow Mold machine operations to ensure accurate product measurements and dimensional specifications are maintained.
- Make minor adjustments to the machine settings to maintain product quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Assist the maintenance team in machine repairs, adjustments, and setup procedures.
- Collaborate with the production team to maintain standard production rates, minimize waste, and meet customer requirements.
- Complete all necessary documentation and reports related to machine operation and production.
- Set up and adjust labelers to ensure accurate product labeling.
- Weigh and segregate scrap materials from machine runs into designated bins.
- Perform other machine operation-related duties as assigned, with reasonable accommodations as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
