Job Description
This position provides site safety leadership to ensure facility compliance with corporate and divisional safety standards, implementation of safety directives, improves safety performance, and ensures facility safety policies and procedures are aligned with governmental regulations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading and coaching those involved in safety incident investigations to determine root causes and install preventive measures.
- Identifying best practices and leading continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
- Performing safety audits and inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and ensuring safety regulation compliance.
- Providing trending/analysis of safety data to identify key drivers to improve behavior based safety performance for employees.
- Conducting Job Hazard Analysis; PPE Hazard Analysis; Ergonomic Assessments; Risk Analysis, and implement improvements in the plant.
- Providing technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
- Ongoing VPP support / improvement projects
- This position will be out on the production floor (30-40%) and then office work the remainder of the time.
- Associates degree or higher required; safety related field preferred.
- 3 or more years of experience in general industry safety or related field required.
- Prior experience facilitating training sessions and safety management programs.
- A base salary in the $100K range depending upon skills, credentials and experience.

Pay Details: $95,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
