We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager who will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that values safety above all else.
As the Health and Safety Manager, you will evaluate safety practices, conduct site inspections, lead training programs, and develop a site-specific safety program that meets the needs of our client's construction projects. You will be based at our client's San Ramon office, but you will be required to travel around the East Bay to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
To succeed in this role, you must have at least five years of experience in heavy construction safety, a Bachelor's degree, and certification in Cal/OSHA 30-hour construction training course. You must also possess one of the following certifications from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals: CSP, CHST, OHST, as well as first aid and CPR certifications.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting daily safety inspections of the job site for hazards and compliance with safety requirements in the specifications and 8 CA Code of Regs. You will implement actions and programs to prevent/reduce the occurrence of emergencies/accidents/incidents. You will also inspect job sites to ensure compliance with the Company Safety Program and OSHA regulations and document all safety inspections using a construction site safety inspection checklist.
