Job Summary
- Support the administration and continual improvement of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) initiatives.
- Actively participate in and support HSE teams and committees
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and identify opportunities for continual improvement.
Program Coordination:
- Coordinate regulatory compliance and response team readiness for Emergency Action Plans
- Ensure readiness for Response Teams, covering fire, medical, and hazardous material releases.
- Inspect and maintain Emergency Facilities and Equipment, including eyewash stations, showers, fire extinguishers, AED/First Aid stations.
Program Management:
- Implement and maintain procedures and practices driving continuous improvement
- Consistently evaluate the work environment and make changes as needed.
Safety Programs
- Maintain STOP Cards, Hand Audits, and Incident investigations daily.
- Track metrics for continual improvement.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist in the administration of HSE programs, policies, and procedures.
- Effectively communicate HSE information to all employees
- Conduct periodic audits/inspections to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Provide support for health, safety, and environmental-related recordkeeping and administrative requirements.
- Coordinate and/or perform safety training to ensure understanding and compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and programs to prevent injuries/illnesses
- Assist in the investigation of safety and occupational health-related incidents
- Help ensure HSE action plans are executed and underlying issues are resolved.
- Observe and coach managers in hazard recognition and areas of improvement.
- Actively participate in Quarterly Safety Committee and Emergency Response Teams
- Advocate for continual success and improvement of safety initiatives.
- Compile and report HSE Metrics regularly.
- Coordinate Safety Activities for enhanced workplace safety.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate degree
- Minimum 5 years relatable work experience in a HSE related capacity
- Experience with OSHA General Industry standards.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Excellent written and oral communications
