- Support and work effectively with all departments, terminals, and team members
- Administrative and database job duties
- Work with drivers to ensure compliance with all local, federal, state laws and regulations along with company policies.
- Assist with incoming calls to the safety department
- Proactively monitor and update driver files with current expiration dates, training, and certifications
- Generate reports to identify missing or expired compliance documents and safety trainings
- Proactively conduct periodic internal audits on DOT driver qualification files to ensure compliance with FMCSA
- Assist in scheduling safety classes and site required training as needed
- Become a certified Specimen Collector and perform necessary drug and alcohol testing in accordance with established procedures and DOT guidelines
- Cross-train on HOS and ELD Support (Electronic Logging Devices) and assist when needed
- Manage sensitive information with a high level of discretion and confidentiality
- Regular and predictable on-site job attendance is an essential function for this position
- Monitor, track and assist in the loading cards for drivers
- Assist in the tracking of trainers /trainees with Driver Training
- Other administrative duties or task assigned by manager
Basic Qualifications
- Locals only, (must live within 60 miles)
- Minimum 1 year of administrative experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be responsive and detail-oriented, committed to follow-through on tasks and projects
- Successful time management, handling multiple responsibilities with a sense of urgency
- Good judgment, escalating concerns when necessary to meet deadlines, avoid conflict, or ensure compliance
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and direction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Able to exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive issues
- Effective time management, administrative and organizational ability is a must
- Subject to swiftly changing priorities, task, and projects
- Experience working in a safety compliance administrative role or trucking industry
- General knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
