Estimated starting salary is $872-$1089 per week.
Duties and Responsibilities/Results:
- Review and correct daily work received from the branches to maintain compliance in accordance with IRS regulations.
- Review daily and monthly reports on Nautilus to ensure that transactions are processed correctly for reporting purposes.
- Assist customers and branch personnel with Retirement Plan Services inquiries to help resolve customer concerns by providing documentation related to their issues.
- Prepare paperwork for decedent payout to beneficiaries, by checking that all proper documents were collected from the beneficiaries, all required forms are completed and signed by the beneficiaries, and all identifications received from the beneficiaries are up to date. Calculate the proper payout amount and update documents for the branch to process.
- Investigate and rectify processing errors to ensure accurate accounting and IRS reporting.
- Create an automatic distribution record on the system for customers requesting to receive their annual Required Minimum Distribution by check, transfer or ACH to comply with IRS regulations and avoid a 50% IRS penalty.
- Review and verify that all required Retirement documents are on file for compliance with Audit and IRS regulations.
- Ensure that all files are scanned into the Nautilus scanning system for good record keeping.
- Access DNA to retrieve customer plan information and set up beneficiary records in DNA.
- Properly calculate Required Minimum Distribution amounts for customers age 70.5 and older and for Inherited IRA customers.
- Assist in completing 1099R and 5498 form corrections.
- Keep up to date on IRS Regulations as they pertain to IRAs and Qualified Plans.
- Assist Management Team with DNA processing issues due to errors during account processing and maintenance of the account.
- Assist with the testing of new IRA products before uploading it into live production.
Job Specifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Above Average oral and written communication Skills.
- Prior Customer Service Representative experience, minimum 2 years.
- Demonstrated skill for detail.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Basic Knowledge of Retirement Plans.
