Roving Security Guard

Windwalker Group is seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and dynamic Security Professionals with excellent customer service skills to join our winning Protection & Preparedness team. We have immediate openings for Full-Time Unarmed Security Guardsfor services conducting security coverage for multiple sites across metro-Boston, Massachusetts.

Security Guards on our sites are tasked with maintaining duty logs, recording visitor ingress, and ensuring the safety and security of facilities, and ensuring properties are free of trespassers.

This position will report daily to the Windwalker Company headquarters and will provide security coverage as detailed to various sites by the Operations Management team daily.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Travel to company sites throughout the metro-Boston area in the company vehicle.
• Learn Standard Operating Procedures at multiple sites.
• Stand Security Guard posts at various sites as required.
• Conduct security patrols at various sites as required.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot.
• Report incidents to proper authorities in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Aid in the early reporting of emergencies, and provide directions and informational assistance to employees, visitors, and guests.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, or conglomerating in large groups.
• Observe arriving and departing staff personnel to ensure the safety and security of the public.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
• Maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years experience as an unarmed guard
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Candidates must be flexible regarding schedule and work environments.
• Must have the ability to react quickly to a changing environment.
• Must have advanced ability to respond to security breaches and threats.
• Must be comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be detail oriented, have a professional attitude.
• Possess excellent written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to work independently.
• Be fluent in the use of cell phones, texting, MS Word/Excel, and standard emailing systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Residents of Greater Boston preferred.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of security systems and surveillance equipment preferred.
• CPR, FIRST AID, AED, NARCAN, MOAB, or ACT I, II, or III Certifications highly preferred.
• Associates degree or greater in Criminal Justice-related studies preferred.
• Experience with documenting, observations, customer service, and security procedures preferred.
• Previous concierge experience preferred.
• 2-3 years experience as an unarmed Security Guard
