Fire Watch Laborer

Abacus is looking for a Firewatch Laborer to work at one of our top clients in Orlando, FL.

Job Duties:

• Prep, setup and inspect equipment and the entire work area to make ready for the hot work activity.
• Be prepared to operate fire extinguishers and water hose source supply at any time.
• Maintain constant watch during the shift while the work is being done and coordinate relief efforts for substitution with need of break and/or other circumstance that results in leaving Fire Watch post.
• Surveillance of surroundings to ensure there are no hot sparks, burning embers and other fire hazards.
• Notifying emergency services in the event of a fire and become familiar with emergency alarm procedure.
• When all hot work operations are complete, must not leave the Fire Watch post until the required hours for watch has been met.
• Prep, setup and cleanup of all cementitious pumping operations to include cleaning of equipment and spoils and debris.
• Assists in the operation and maintenance of concrete pumps, plaster pumps and air compressors.

Schedule: Monday - Friday (6am - 2:30pm) OR (9:30am - 5:30pm).
Pay Rate: $17.00 -$20.00 hourly - Paid Weekly.
