Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

Your Purpose as an Automotive Title Clerk:

  • Process all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
  • Submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
  • Verify that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder is paid before processing title applications.
  • Prepare the billing and Certificates of Origin for all dealer trade transactions
  • Compile and maintain a detailed list of all outstanding title work, working with management and the comptroller to resolve any issues.
  • Stay abreast of title regulations by attending local seminars held by local licensing bureaus and/or other approved trainings.
  • Conduct periodic trainings for F&I Managers and Sales Professionals regarding title regulations and processes, issuing memos whenever regulations change.
  • Other duties can include: backup biller, schedules, rotating front desk lunch coverage, restocking guest amenities, etc.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Auto industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of CDK and dealership accounting is a plus.
  • Qualified candidates must stay on top of State/County regulations in regard to DMV title processing requirements.
