Hocking Valley Community Hospital (HVCH) is a 25-bed critical access hospital (CAH) nestled in the heart of the beautiful Hocking Hills in Logan, Ohio. With more than 325 employees, our staff is here to serve the residents and visitors of our Hocking Valley community through various ancillary and 24-hour emergency care services.
We are currently seeking an RN Supervisor, Performance Improvement. This position reports to the Director of Risk Management.
About your next career:
Hocking Valley Community Hospital adheres to all federal, state, and local statues in regards to hospital operation and is accredited by The Joint Commission. The RN Supervisor, Performance Improvement plays an important role in the ongoing assurance of quality in patient Care and service delivery, assisting the Director of Risk Management, and overseeing personal on their designated shift.
In this positions, you will:
- Assume responsibility for all activities within the hospital in the absence of Administration and/or department directors
- Assist in interpreting hospital policy and state law as related to the nursing service
- Assist in evaluating and formulating the policies, procedures, decisions, and solutions related to the nursing service
- Provide effective leadership and manage guidance and counseling activities for personnel of the designated shift
- Recommend the purchase of supplies and equipment required for the nursing service.
- Continuously review nursing staffing patterns, checks attendance, and revises the daily staff schedule as necessary
- Initiate and approves orders for repairs
What you need for the job:
- Currently licensed and in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Ohio Board of Nursing
- Associates of Science degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited college/university; Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum two years post-graduate acute care hospital experience preferred.
- Minimum two years medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
