Oversees all clinical aspects of the practice, including, but not limited to patient flow, orders, lab and radiology results, patient education, appointment and surgery scheduling, pre-authorizations and pre-certifications. Makes sure that the continuity of care is maintained in obtaining previous patient medical data. Provides general nursing care to patients in physician office following established standards of practice. In conjunction with Practice Manager, supervises clinical personnel and facilitates day-to-day operations within the practice structure as it relates to clinical staff.
Formal Education Required:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or a school accepted for candidacy status from an accrediting body.
- Current RN license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio.
Experience and Training Required:
- Two years of clinical experience.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
- Certification in Nursing specialty preferred.
- Population Specific Competency: ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
