GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Golden 1 Credit Union offers a personalized experience for interns. Our goal is to give interns a glimpse of what it is like working for a fast-growing, diverse, and exceptional financial institution. Our 8-week internship program will consist of department specific job duties/projects, as well as professional development workshops, networking sessions with G1 leaders, and an end of the internship team project that will be presented to senior executives.

Medium Vendor Classification Validation.

• Collaborate with Business Owners (BO) - VP, SVP and Business Relationship Managers (BRM).
• Establish if vendor is Active or needs to be Deactivated.
• If Active - work with BO/BRM to fill out a Vendor Classification Questionnaire to validate appropriate classification.
• Update Vendor Profiles in Nvendor (Vendor Management Software System)
• Upload all documentation into Nvendor.
• If Inactive - get approval to deactivate vendor in Nvendor and upload deactivation approval documentation.
• Provide weekly summaries to Manager and Vice President, Enterprise Risk Officer.
• Provide final project presentation at end of Internship.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student as defined by the school, organization, or institution.
2. GPA of at least a 3.2.
3. Junior & Senior standing in the Fall.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW AND DETAILS:

1. Intern Program: Intern must be available for the duration of the 8-week program.
2. Work Schedule:  Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm.
3. Golden 1 Credit Union does not provide any form of housing reimbursement or relocation package for interns.

LOCATION:

Although the positions are generally Hybrid schedule you will be expected to attend some In-Person activities at the Golden 1 Headquarters located in Sacramento CA.
