Job Description
Venture Lynk is looking for an experienced legal Office Manager for our client based in Los Angeles. If you are a self-starter with fantastic organization and interpersonal skills that is willing to roll up your sleeves, jump in and get things done then we are looking for you! You will work with our client’s General Counsel to help build a new office from the ground up. The Office Manage is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the General Counsel’s office for a healthcare technology company. This person will work closely with the General Counsel and the attorneys to determine their support needs and to ensure that their employees have the necessary tools and training to perform the essential functions of their jobs. The ideal candidate will have law firm or corporate legal office management experience and be familiar with HR, litigation, Medicare billing and patent experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for help setting up a new office from digital file management to office supplies.
- Maintain all legal records, including hard copies and electronic filings of legal documents and emails, and processing files for off-site storage.
- Manage bills and correspondences with precision and care.
- Keep personal and business calendars in harmonious balance.
- Oversee vendor interactions and financial transactions.
- Keep attorneys on track with gentle, consistent reminders.
- Assist in a variety of tasks, supporting our team to ensure smooth operations.
- Support continuous improvement of forms, policies, and processes to help streamline, simplify, and automate relevant contracting processes.
- Strong social skills
- Serve as the General Counsel’s de facto chief of staff helping to manage the office, its personnel and work assignments.
- Experience with mergers and acquisition due diligence.
- Extensive management of cases through document review applications
- Organize and summarize voluminous documents.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, mediation, and trials.
- Familiarity with multiple online legal systems, research references such as agency manuals, directives, issuances, court reports, appellate records, or commercial legal publications to locate appropriate data such as applicable precedents, legislative history and commentaries which bear on legal issues.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing.
- Ensures support staff receives the appropriate training to effectively accomplish their jobs.
- Counsel and discipline all support staff-direct reports and indirect reports; in conjunction with the direct supervisor when applicable.
- Conduct staff meetings.
- Foster positive attorney and staff relationships.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience working with a high-growth company is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate
- Familiarity with federal and California state court rules and civil procedures is a plus.
- Experience with HIPAA, Medicare audits and HHS regulations for a healthcare company is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years prior experience at a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Superior organizational skills including the ability to work under pressure and handle competing deadlines while prioritizing workload effectively.
- Ability to take an assignment from inception to completion with minimal supervision or by following broad guidelines to deliver positive results.
- Demonstrates integrity and honesty in all matters.
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding, including ability to quickly learn new applications.
- Adept at using Google Workspaces and legal filing systems.

- Initially hybrid location, but will be required to work in a new office in Inglewood, CA.
- Salary range: $70,000 - $100,000 DOE
