Job summary
As a Reputation Risk, Vice President in the Reputation risk team, you'll be assisting with the implementation of Asset and Wealth Management Reputation Risk governance. Reputation Risk is the risk that an action or inaction may negatively impact perception of the firm's integrity and reduce confidence in the firm's competence by various constituents, including clients, counterparties, customers, investors, regulators, employees, communities or the broader public.
Job responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation of Asset and Wealth Management Reputation Risk governance.
- Act as the Reputation Risk Secretary for regional Reputation Risk Committees (RRC). In this role, the candidate will review proposed Reputation Risk Committee submission forms. Attend relevant pre-read meetings, advise and challenge the business on content, risks and mitigates. Attend RRC meetings, draft Committee meeting minutes, work with legal to finalize and distribute to Committee members on a regular basis.
- Support the AWM Global Head of Reputation Risk and other regional Reputation Risk Secretaries as needed.
- Provide guidance to the business on escalation requirements for client or prospect situations, when appropriate
- Review critical issues with AWM Global Head of Reputation Risk and regional Chief Risk Officers
- Work with senior management on thematic issues and from time to time join firm wide or cross line of business (LOB) Reputation Risk working groups
- Assist with carrying out the Firm wide and AWM Heightened Risk Sector Framework
- Metrics and Risk Reporting – Responsible for AWM internal reporting requirements as well as any requested regulatory reporting. Assist in writing commentary for various risk governance forums, including but not limited to the AWM, AM and Private Bank Risk Committees.
- Responsible for entering accurate, complete, timely and comprehensive data into the Reputation Risk database and has oversight responsibility for accuracy and quality of data input globally.
- Review, and draft procedures and best practices guidelines
- Perform ad hoc projects, as needed
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5-7 years Financial Industry Experience with legal or Risk Management experience
- Pro-active, action oriented self-starter with a focus on results, display strong analytical skills, ability to assess and clearly articulate complex and sensitive issues
- Excellent executive presence, oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively challenge front office line of business (LOB) senior officers
- Excellent desktop application skills including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in an efficient and effective manner and with minimal supervision
- Strong time management and problem solving skills
- Ability to interact with Line of Business senior management and build strong relationships across the business and with key support partners
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail and team-oriented mentality
- Effectively handle competing priorities
