The Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Risk Management team, led by the AWM Chief Risk Officer (CRO), is aligned to the Asset Management (AM) and Global Private Bank (GPB) lines of business covering the broad spectrum of risks inherent in the AWM business. The team's independent oversight includes Credit Risk, Fiduciary Risk, Counterparty Risk, Investment Risk, Reputation Risk, and Market Risk.
In this role, your main responsibility will be to utilize your broad understanding of AWM and its support functions (e.g. operations, technology, compliance, Risk, guideline management, etc.) to contribute to Global Private Bank Risk Business Management initiatives, specifically supporting the GPB Credit Risk organization. The work consists of ongoing, BAU (Business As Usual) processes as well as discrete projects that are strategic in nature. Based in Columbus, OH, the role will work closely with the other GPB Risk business managers and the GPB Credit Risk team and will report to the GPB Risk Business Manager.
Job responsibilities
- Coordinate and/ or prepare materials for senior management including Risk Committees, business reviews and periodic presentations for regulators.
- Improve governance framework for GBP Risk, including preparation of materials and minutes for Regional Risk Committees, Credit Risk Forums and other lines of business Risk forums
- Manage critical risk priorities, activities and deadlines for the GPB Credit Risk team, manage agendas and hold leaders accountable for Risk leadership team meetings, Town Halls, etc.
- Research and help formulate conclusions to broad risk issues
- Establish regular communication with the Business and Risk team regarding risk issues, including policy, trends, regulatory (present updates at regular forums)
- Develop management reports, provide updates and present to Senior Management
- Support ad-hoc risk control and business management activities for GBP Risk Management, including ad-hoc analyses as requested by senior management
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively summarize large amounts of complex information to deliver in concise executive level presentations
