How you can make a difference
The ideal candidate will be driven and experienced with proposal writing as part of a fast-paced environment focused on meeting tight deadlines. This position supports HealthEquity's sales and client renewal efforts by maintaining an accurate database of product and company information for use in RFP (Request for Proposal) responses and proposals, developing RFP responses, fulfilling RFP responses, and other functions related to supporting ongoing sales efforts. The winning candidate will display a proven ability to create thorough, consistent, insightful written content for both proposals and supporting marketing materials.
What you'll be doing
- Lead all aspects of the RFP process to include, but not limited to development, production, fulfillment, and reporting within project deadline requirements.
- Manage RFPs and proposals independently with minimal or no supervision.
- Think strategically and independently to identify and comprehend proposal complexities specific to each project's unique requirements, while also prioritizing resources and tasks.
- Understand the unique technical and functional business requirements of each prospect, and use independent judgment when to deviate from standard practices to assist in advancing the sale to the next level and/or win business
- Apply competitive market understanding to customize response accordingly.
- Develop compelling value propositions for different opportunities while tailoring it to the various market segments and/or type of sale - partnership, partner sale, direct sale, client renewal, etc.
- Create written proposal content, including developing new responses in coordination with subject matter experts.
- Work collaboratively with Sales and client teams to incorporate strategic themes while ensuring compliance internally as well as with the RFP's unique submission requirements.
- Identify and interact with subject matter experts within cross functional departments to confirm overall accuracy of content and submit proposal database updates.
- Execute under pressure while managing multiple complex projects and deadlines concurrently.
- Track projects and status within Salesforce.
- Ensure overall response visually reflects HealthEquity brand.
- Aid in facilitating department process improvements.
- Handle miscellaneous proposal related projects as assigned.
What you will need to be successful
- 3-4 years proposal writing or project management experience.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, or insurance related field
- Critical thinker, proficient writer, with project management understanding who can function independently with projects.
- Aptitude to independently manage simultaneous projects with varying deadlines and complexities in a timely and professional manner.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with repository products (e.g., Qvidian/Salesforce), as well as experience responding to online RFP's (e.g. Proposal Tech, Ariba, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently but also within a team environment.
- Organized, self-starter, detail-oriented team-player.
- Must exhibit ability to adhere to strict RFP requirements and deadlines.
- Comprehensive understanding of CDB payroll benefits industry desired.

Salary Range$57500.00 To $86000.00 / yearBenefits & PerksThe compensation range describes the typical minimum or maximum base pay range for this position. The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location.
