Job Description:
This position will manage all aspects of the RFP (Request for Proposal) process from inception to delivery of final copy. Duties include interviewing knowledge experts, writing/editing answers, assigning tasks, gathering data, working with sales and client service staff and regularly managing all aspects of multiple proposals to ensure quality delivery of proposals. Position requires ability to interact effectively and professionally with teammates as well as all levels of staff across multiple business units.
Salary Range: $68,000 - $74,000
Specific compensation will be based on candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
- Project management - working alongside the sales lead, serving as project manager and lead writer for multiple concurrent RFPs, including overseeing the proposal process from start to finish.
- Coordinating project meetings with project owners and contributors.
- Managing and adhering to internal and external deadlines.
- Writing and editing RFP content, interviewing knowledge experts.
- Problem solving content/process issues as needed.
- Ensuring Qvidian database content is current.
- Managing general relationships across the organization.
- Managing competing interests and multiple, concurrent projects.
- Supporting initiatives of the RFP Team, including improving processes and content.
- Supporting initiatives of the Global Marketing team.
The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations or Marketing preferred
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in proposal, technical, or business writing
- Must work collaboratively in a team setting and resolve differences in a collegial and respectful manner
- Situational adaptability
- Ability to gather data points from disparate sources
- Strong attention to detail including following government-directed requirements for certain types of RFPs
- Working through roadblocks in deadline-driven environments
- Strong research skills using a variety of electronic, internet and hard copy resources and tools
- Ability to manage the contributions of multiple project stakeholders
- Able to work across the organization with all levels of staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong grammar skills
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (CRM) a plus
- Knowledge of financial concepts and investments a plus
