The Manager, RFPs & Proposals is responsible for managing the day-to-day activity of the RFP/Proposal process and team. Responsibilities include the management of the intake, assessment, assignment/delegation of firm responses to client issued Request for Proposals (RFPs). The Manager will serve as the senior point of contact for attorneys, business development & marketing staff and with several Foley departments impacted and involved with RFPs.
Responsibilities- Day-to-day management of the RFP/Proposal process.
- Leveraging the assessment process to focus firm resources on beneficial opportunities.
- Review and assignment of incoming RFPs/Proposals.
- Coordination of the proposal process from inception through submission.
- Develop proposal drafts, including writing, editing, and proofreading materials and providing templates and formatting assistance.
- Ensure materials are error free, visually appealing, and all aspects of the RFP are responsive to the client/prospective client and reflective of the firm's differentiators.
- Oversee production/submission coordination.
- Support follow-up initiatives for RFP opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with lead partners, business development managers, and others, to assist in the development of firm responses to RFP's and drafting customized content.
- Track and report metrics on firm-wide proposal and pitch activity.
- Assist in review and continual updates of standard materials in content management system.
- Assist in review and updating of proposal process guidelines.
- Provide new hire and refresher training and support to the Marketing team with proposal-related needs.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of Marketing, Business Development or Communications experience is required.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and have working knowledge of PowerPoint, including use of advanced features.
- Familiarity with Client Relationship Management and Content Management systems, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written, as well as editing skills required.
