Job Description
Seeking an Revenue Cycle Manager that will connect directly with the providers in person and through other forms of communication. The Revenue Cycle Manager will work with oversight from the Revenue Cycle Department, in all aspects of managing the responsibilities for the collection team including associate motivation, coaching, development, discipline, customer satisfaction, and achievement of key metrics. The Revenue Cycle Manager will be responsible for enforcing rules and regulations in the office. Must maintain extensive knowledge of all insurances and third-party reimbursement requirements and be familiar with the insurance guidelines to properly assist in billing and collection problems.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Direct, supervise, and evaluate work activities of the medical collectors.
· Participate in process improvements efforts.
· Manage productivity and accuracy of work completed by the team.
· Establish workflow schedules and assignments for staff, according to workload, space, and equipment availability.
· Audit Employee Performance by conducting employee face to face reviews monthly, quarterly, and annually on each team employee.
· Complete performance evaluations and conduct disciplinary action.
· Enforce HR policies (attendance, dress code, cell phone, etc.) as stipulated in the Employee Handbook. Also, enforce telecommuting policies.
· Maintain communication between director, managers, staff, and other departments by attending meetings and coordinating interdepartmental functioning.
· Monitor the effective use of resources and assess the need for additional staff, equipment, and services.
· Maintain awareness of advances in government regulations, health insurance changes, and financing options.
· Work with Human Resources to onboard new employees.
· Consult with Directors to discuss service problems, respond to community needs, enhance public relations, and coordinate activities and plans.
· Other duties as assigned by the department.
REQUIRED Qualifications:
· Associate’s degree
· A minimum of 7 years in Revenue Cycle.
· 7 years’ experience in supervising and managing staff (Required)
· 5 years’ experience in Healthcare Hospital and Physician Collections (Required)
· Strong Out of Network Collections
· NSA knowledge
· Strong insurance billing and coding terminology
· Strong leadership: able to manage and develop a team of individuals to meet the goals of the department.
· Strong communication and people skills.
· A Problem-solver and work effectively with others.
· Able to interact and communicate openly and respectfully with individuals at all levels of the organization.
· Computer Savvy!!! Strong data entry skills and able to type 40-50 wpm with a high level of accuracy.
