Retail Data Operations Lead
AAC is seeking a strong and enthusiastic team leader to join their growing retail client as a Retail Data Operations Lead. While a corporate data background is not necessary for this role, this person will have a strong retail background, preferably in a storefront environment, with a strong understanding of the pieces that keep retail operations moving smoothly.
his position will sit in Glen Rock, NJ with the opportunity to work a hybrid remote schedule (3 in/2 out). This is a growing team and organization with the opportunity to become involved in exciting projects and initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the Master Data team; manage, guide, coach and develop them; ensuring the function evolves to meet future business needs and changing technology landscapes
- Manage the offshore team, being aware and sympathetic to any cultural considerations, time zone factors, that they are remote hence the need to be able to build a team spirit remotely
- Be a visible, onsite (hybrid) presence for business stakeholders, taking responsibility for the MDM function whilst keeping the business accountable for their own requirements and SLAs
- Resource and capacity planning, balancing throughput and workload while ensuring timelines are met
- Ensure the timely maintenance of product data including retail prices, cost prices, barcodes, Point of Sale (POS) menus, backend recipes & inventory control, user management etc
- Ownership and delivery of promotions, campaigns, new products and menu launches for any brand
- Deliver against all Master Data processes for IT, Commercial, Operations & Financial reporting including retail order scheduling, price changes, promotions and sales batch polling - using an internal service management tool to assist and facilitate reporting metrics on all
- Investigate and resolve of data variances from our site-based customers within defined SLA’s including raising, updating and reporting on issues through the internal service management tool
- Assist in the identification, planning and delivery of service improvements and optimization activities
- Create and maintain Master Data definitions including Supplier Pricebook Master files, ensuring strict validation and versioning control to ensure data integrity
- Create and maintain up-to-date Master Data process and knowledgebase documentation under defined working practices including strict validation and versioning control
- Support data requirements of project activities and new ventures including new workstreams and new brand openings; providing Subject Matter Expertise in data setup, technical requirements, constraints, service and wider data team and integrity alignments
Experience Requirements:
- Strong retail background with storefront experience
- Successful people manager / team leader
- Ability and willingness to learn multiple IT systems.
- Ability to work in a team and to achieve tight deadlines to meet the business service level agreements.
- Demonstrate analytical capability to interpret and challenge data and to identify where data may not be accurate or incomplete.
- Demonstrable experience of a collaborative attitude to working with colleagues both on-shore and off-shore
- Shows initiative and self-confidence, is adaptable, and able to cope with changing and evolving priorities
- Strong leadership, management, and customer service skills
- Detail orientated with ability to also understand and see the broader impacts if the data is not entered correctly.
- Proven ability to work on your own initiative and deliver to tight deadlines under pressure.
- Committed and self-motivated that can adapt to change within a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
