As a Data Analyst with the Customer and Commercial Analytics team at embecta, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide valuable information that guides business strategies, improves processes, and enhances decision-making. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong analytical skills, and can effectively communicate their findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage embecta's collective data and research concerning patients, prescribers, pharmacy, competitors and market dynamics to provide insightful perspective and compelling recommendations that shape embecta's business plans and go-to-market strategies
- Analyze and report on embecta and competitive activity to provide view of commercial performance at market, customer, and product level
- Present relevant findings, insights, and opportunities to key business stakeholders, and leverage feedback to continually improve analyses and insights
- Analyze marketing metrics to identify cause and effect relationships. Offer insights about product potentials/ Market Dynamics Analytics and forecasting trends
- Measure performance of retail programs, and provide thought partnership in future program design
- Deliver KPIs and monthly trend dashboards
- Support reporting automation, continuous improvement, and innovation in analytics
- Miscellaneous and/or ad-hoc projects, analyses or administrative duties as assigned
Basic Requirements:
- 1+ years of related experience, preferably supporting field sales or marketing personnel
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience in analytic and quantitative modeling (e.g., in Excel, R, Power BI, or other related tools)
Preferred Requirements:
- Excellent analytical capabilities and familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, R, PowerBI)
- Strong quantitative and reasoning skills
- Preferred industry experience in OTC, CPG, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals
- Comfortable analyzing large data sets
- Strong communication and storytelling skills and ability to effectively present findings
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
