In 2013, native Texan Briana Valdez opened HomeState, an ode to Texas cuisine in Los Angeles with the mission of evoking community and creating a home for everyone, no matter where they are from. HomeState represents the integrity, history, and culture of Briana’s roots.

HomeState is currently hiring for the position of General Manager!

HomeState offers competitive compensation ($75,000-$85,000 base salary annually, plus 20% bonus with potential to earning $100k+) a robust benefits package inclusive of health insurance, unlimited paid vacation, and tacos!

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years Restaurant General Manager role experience preferred.
• Personable and enjoys working with guests and leading a diverse team.
• Passion for food, hospitality, and providing an exemplary guest experience.
• Proficient in a variety of technology systems including Google suite (email, calendar, documents and sheets) and ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly.
• Availability to work a minimum of five days per week. Extended hours and/or a sixth day may occasionally be required. Weekends, day shifts and evening shifts may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand for long periods of time (6 or more hours per shift)
• Ability to bend, crouch, push/pull and lift/lower objects ranging 20-50 lbs.
• Must possess dexterity to to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects
• Ability to regularly move around the restaurant with full range of mobility
• Ability to withstand occasional hot/cold exposure
• Must be comfortable repeating the frequent motions
• Must be able to bend and reach overhead often
• May be required to work in tight spaces
• Must maintain near constant communication with multiple people
• Close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision is required
• Must be able to sit, squat and kneel occasionally
• Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
