Ray Graham Association is looking for highly motivated Residential House Supervisors to provide support, oversight and supervision to one specific community based home. This position ensures that assigned program location meets all regulatory requirements as set forth by DHS, DCFS, IDPH, and BQM and other pertinent regulations. The Residential House Supervisor coaches direct support professionals (DSP) to offer impeccable customer service to all facets of the team, which leads to a team centered approach and excellent supports provided. Residential House Supervisors work side by side with the direct support professionals to mentor as well as assure all training needs are met. The Residential House Supervisor must support the mission and values of Ray Graham Association and monitor that all team members have a solid understanding of the mission and values.
Job Description:
  • Works directly with 5-6 DSPs to assure that the mission and values of the agency are at the forefront of all activities and interactions.
  • Provides frequent on the job feedback to DSPs to assure everyone is able to be successful.
  • Keeps in close communication with program managers on the strengths and challenges of each site and team member. Works collaboratively with program manager to complete annual evaluations for DSPs to assure strengths and challenges are noted and plans are in place to work on goals for each DSP.
  • Attends monthly CLR meetings to keep up to date on agency and department standards, attend trainings and offer feedback on systems.
  • Assures that any and all schedule needs for the team are addressed and follows the AFSMCE agreements on how this occurs by using the OT call list. This includes finding coverage for benefit time, open shifts, and call offs.
  • Adjust own schedule based on the needs of the home. This may include medical appointments, person specific needs or programmatic needs. Team Leader schedule is to be submitted to the program manager for approval and any changes made should be approved in advance.
  • Is on-call to support DSPs through problem solving and attendance issues. Will assure clear and concise communication with program managers when using benefit time to assure a plan in in place for who will be the on-call support to DSPs.
  • Upholds the CLR Customer Service Standards and acts a model for DSPs in this area. Provides immediate feedback to DSPs on successes and areas of improvement for customer service to people supported, families and other team members.
  • Assures that all necessary supplies are always available for people supported and DSPs. Acts as liaison to CLR leadership on any areas of concerns the team may have. Works with Program Manager to obtain necessary supplies while also being mindful of budgets for sites and people supported.
  • Will assure timeframes are met for all systems. This includes CCA, petty cash, turning in receipts, attendance, etc.
  • Monitors that medication is available to people supported at all times. Is responsible for assuring that the team is proactive and orders medications prior to running out (this may be required only for medications that come mid-cycle, are prns, treatments, or liquid medication). Assures that DSPs have all documentation they need to properly administer medications. Any areas of concerns are immediately addressed with Program manager and/or Nurse Trainer.
  • Attends weekly team meetings with QIDP, Program managers and Coordinator. May meet 1 on 1 with Program manager as well.
  • Easily recognizes when there is a gap in services or supports for people supported and/or team members. Works with Program manager to fill the need. This includes but is not limited to immediately addressing any and all safety concerns as they occur and are directly observed.
  • Meets with people supported to assure that services offered are meeting people's needs and if they are not works with QIDP and others to address.
  • Works collectively with QIDP of home and all team members to create and fosters partnership opportunities for families and other community establishments.
  • Works with DSPs to assure compliance with CMS standards as well as BALC, BQM, OIG, DCFS, CQL etc. are consistently met.
  • Works assigned home to fully participate in the lives of their communities, and create opportunities to foster and improve community partnerships and potential volunteer opportunities.

Qualifications Required:
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • At least 1yr of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
  • At least 2 yrs of full-time experience in working in a residential CILA home.
  • At least 1yr of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be able to meet the HealthCare Worker Background Check requirements.
  • Must have a valid IL Driver's License.
  • Must be able to lift and transfer individuals (75 lbs.).
  • Employee must meet the requirements to drive a PACE vehicle if location requires it.
  • Positive and up-beat personality is a must.
  • All employees are required upon hire to provide a Motor Vehicle Report obtained from the Secretary of State.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • All employees must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Locations: Various locations through out DuPage County.
Starting Wage: $18.50
