Our DEIB work is driven and supported by a DEIB Council and three Business Engagement Teams (BETs) that focus on racial and social justice, the LGBTQIA+ community & women in the workplace. As the key driver and champion of Comagine Health's DEIB work, the DEIB Director would lead the DEIB Council and promote communication, integration, and strategic alignment of the DEIB Council and BETs across the company.
Who is the ideal candidate?
Comagine Health is searching for a Senior Director of DEIB. This is a .50 FTE position (standard benefits provided). The ideal candidate will be a values and mission-driven leader who appreciates the commitment that a nonprofit organization such as Comagine Health exemplifies. We are looking for a leader with 10+ years of prior in-depth relevant professional experience and 5+ years of experience as a leader of diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging.
The Sr. DEIB Director is a key driver and champion of this work, responsible for collaborating with colleagues, leadership, and employees to create a robust culture with deep impact within the organization. Partners with service line and other leaders to foster alignment between the organizations internal DEIB initiatives and its external health equity efforts.
This role is responsible for managing the implementation of Comagine Health’s DEIB strategic roadmap along with cross-functional teams, with the deep commitment of the executive sponsor and the senior leadership team.
Education
Required
BA/BS in a related field
Preferred
MA/MS in a related field a plus
Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in a related field may be substituted
Additional Experience Required
10+ years of prior in-depth relevant professional experience.
5+ years of experience as a leader of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in a complex organization, or
a combination of education and relevant experience.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software, specifically PowerPoint, Word & Excel applications.
Leadership Competencies
- Align and lead the Comagine Health DEIB Council & the Business Engagement Teams (BETs) to realize the strategic DEIB roadmap.
- In partnership with the Chief Administrative Officer be a strong partner to leaders across the organization and other key stakeholders to drive an aligned approach to DEIB.
- Create a strong ongoing alignment among Comagine Health’s Culture Committee, Human Resources, &
- Organizational Learning & Development to achieve DEIB objectives.
- Build a virtuous cycle of co-developing our DEIB programs with the DEIB Council, BETs, employees, managers, and sr. leaders.
- Develop & guide BET team leads to maximize their impact.
- Partner with our Business Engagement Teams (BETs) to ensure their voices are elevated and enable them to be strategic partners to the business.
- Evaluate and maintain relationships with external organizations and partners that align with our strategic DEIB goals.
Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide collaborative leadership, facilitation, and implementation of key initiatives to advance the Diversity,
- Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) strategy.
- Manage the DEIB budget and collaborate with the BET leads on maximizing the impact of individual BET budgets.
- Work in collaboration with Business Leaders, HR Directors, HR Business Partners, HR Operations and
- Organizational development to ensure alignment of strategic DEIB initiatives which strengthen the organization.
- Support BET team leads as a trusted advisor and work collaboratively with business leaders to promote and integrate DEIB best practices.
- Operationalize DEIB strategy through processes, systems, and tools to achieve scale by leading key stakeholders through change management.
- Contribute to the awareness and advancement of the DEIB strategy through thought leadership and regular integrated communications and reporting related to DEIB data, analysis, and insights.
- Support process enhancements: review and contribute to deliverables that upscale outputs to manage expectations of key stakeholder groups.
Compensation
This is a .50 FTE position. The range reflects the .50 FTE compensation. The range takes into account geographical location of the candidate.
$80k - $100k.
