Position Summary
Louisiana Tumor Registry (LTR) is a population-based cancer registry, that collects and maintains data on cancer diagnosis, type of cancer, treatment, and outcomes. The LTR currently registers approximately 25,000 new cancer cases yearly, tracks over 300,000 cancer patients, and has over half a million (521,074 cases) newly diagnosed cancer cases in the registry database. This position is supported by funding from the Chancellor. Under the direct supervision of the Registry Liaison, the employee will analyze cancer data to support data requests and cancer control initiatives, assist with the preparation of statistics for annual publications (monograph, data visualization, cancer one-pagers, etc.), and support the LTR liaison (program administrator) with administrative tasks related to data release
