The Opportunity
The Research Analyst at Method Communications will assist in the design, management and execution of primary, secondary and digital analytics research projects. This role reports to the Senior Research Strategist. The ideal candidate for this role is a tech-savvy professional who is capable of supporting quantitative survey research, qualitative research, and data analysis for clients across a myriad of industries. They collaborate well with account leads, clients, and research colleagues to develop quality outputs that help drive client business objectives and goals. Responsibilities
- Conduct background research on existing studies to help clients vet and determine appropriate research topics
- Collaborate with colleagues in preparing research project proposals outlining possible topics, dream headlines, spec’ing timelines, etc.
- Draft and review customized survey questionnaires tailored to client objectives
- Create discussion guides for qualitative research
- Source sample vendor quotes for specific survey audiences and explore/vet potential data providers and research partners
- Serve as a daily point of contact on research programs with colleagues, vendors, and clients, ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables
- Collaborate in programming surveys and managing fieldwork using a DIY survey tool
- Assist in the management of vendor relationships and data collection to ensure perfect quality in their work
- Develop banner plans for crosstab creation (identify and specify data comparisons for analysis)
- Analyze findings and identify key insights from data (survey data or client proprietary data) that can support strategy, messaging, positioning, branding, etc.
- Provide support to teams following the conclusion of research projects, to help validate and confirm the accuracy of press releases, supporting content, etc.
- Stay abreast of research industry trends and developments, to help Method Research grow and develop in the latest skills and expertise, and identify research areas in which we can expand our service offerings
- Help identify and implement process improvements for the team
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in quantitative survey market research, management consulting, brand strategy, or related field.- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Experience in quantitative survey research including the use of common statistical analysis techniques and various types of data analysis
- Ability to design primary research materials (questionnaires, discussion guides, report templates), oversee data collection, use and interpret crosstabs, and prepare analysis reports
- Ability to work with and manipulate raw data in Excel to create custom pivot tables, calculations, customized data groupings, code open-ended response data, etc.
- Experience analyzing large datasets to identify trends and insights
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using a statistical analysis software such as R or SPSS
- Ability to work independently, self-directed, strong work ethic and adherence to deadlines
- Demonstrated effective client management (internal or external) skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented individual with a big-picture mindset
- An interest in telling meaningful stories and making actionable recommendations based on data
- Passion for discovery and a commitment to developing skills and helping team members learn on a daily basis
- Experience surveying B2B respondents on technology-related subjects a plus

State of Colorado: $55,275 - $73,077- State of New York: $55,228 - $76,000
- New York City: $73,205 - $76,000
- State of California: $57,247 - $70,337
- State of Washington: $57,310 - $68,073
