Job Description
WorldStrides is seeking a seasoned Release Train Engineer (RTE) with extensive experience in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to join our dynamic team. As a RTE, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating and facilitating the agile releases within our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure alignment, collaboration, and successful delivery of large-scale programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SAFe principles, methodologies, and best practices, along with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a robust PI execution cadence, including iteration planning and retrospectives, to foster transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach, mentor, and empower product owners and agile teams on SAFe principles, practices, and ceremonies to foster a culture of high performance and self-organization.
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve impediments, risks, and dependencies that may impact the successful delivery of program increments, milestones, or objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment by promoting open communication, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration across teams and departments.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives at the portfolio level by collecting, analyzing, and leveraging metrics, feedback, and lessons learned to optimize processes and outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and change agent to senior leadership, providing insights, recommendations, and guidance on SAFe adoption, implementation, and governance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to agile methodologies, scaled frameworks, and organizational agility to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Act as a servant leader and advocate for agile values, principles, and mindset, fostering a culture of collaboration, trust, and empowerment across the organization.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
  • SAFe RTE certification or equivalent certification(s) in Scaled Agile methodologies (SPC, RTE.) strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in agile software development, project management, or program management roles
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and facilitating agile releases from inception to delivery, preferably in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAFe principles, practices, roles, and artifacts, including Agile Release Trains (ARTs), Program Increment (PI) planning, Lean-Agile budgeting, and value stream mapping.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and consensus-building skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams, stakeholders, and leadership at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a passion for developing and empowering high-performing teams and individuals to achieve their full potential.
  • Proficiency in agile project management tools (JIRA) and collaboration platforms (SharePoint, Teams)
