Description
The Relationship Manager, Broker Dealer, is responsible for new business development in the South-Central region for both the Independent Broker Dealer and Wirehouse Channels. This person will be responsible for marketing a suite of fixed income, equity and global asset allocation funds and a suite of ETFs. The South-Central region includes the states of AR, AZ, CO, LA, NM, OK, and TX. The ideal candidate would reside in TX.
Job Functions
- Develop an annual business plan and devise the necessary activity strategies, tactics and resources to achieve stated goals and objectives
- Ability to travel across a large territory 3-4 days per week
- Develop, build and maintain relationships with key financial advisors within a focus list of clients and prospects
- Meet with advisors and educate them on the DoubleLine Funds
- Track all meetings and sales events through CRM system (Salesforce.com)
- Present pre-approved sales presentations in a highly professional manner, which can be adapted to a variety of audiences
- Interact with Firm staff to coordinate client service and sales efforts
- Keeps abreast of the current economy, global markets, fund performance and future outlook
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing or a finance-related major
- Minimum of 10 years in the investment management industry and 5 years as an external wholesaler
- Series 7 and 63 licenses
- CFA, CIMA® or CFP® preferred
- Demonstrated success selling mutual funds, ETFs and alternative products
- Existing relationships within territory
- Knowledge of the investment management industry and key portfolio management concepts
- Understanding of various broker-dealer platforms
- Ability to thrive in an independent, challenging and collaborative environment
