Sal range: $29.00   (2yr) | $32.70(5 yr) | $36.81(10yr) | $42.13 (17yr MAX)
Shift Diffs: $4.50 (Nights) and $1.50 (Weekends) 

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse Medical Surgical to join our team! You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
• Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
• Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
• Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

Qualifications:

• Must have RECENT (WITHIN THE LAST YEAR OR TWO) ACUTE CARE MED-SURG EXPERIENCE. * Would be Open to PCU/CVICU/ICU  acute experience.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting

• Current Florida State Registered Nurse license. Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.

• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.

• Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.

Additional Information: 
* 50-bed Med/Surg Oncology, Ortho, Trauma, Psychiatric.
· Unit Beds/ rooms: Med Surg Unit-2 West 50 Beds 1 RN :5,6 pt. ratio; PCT- 1:10-13  Med Surg, Oncology (10% patients-chemo cert provided at no cost if want to),Ortho, 40 %  of patients are trauma straight from ER or ICU, Pneumonia, some Baker Act Psych patients sent out to South Seminole Hospital or other psych Facilities. Wed busiest days.
