Job Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to facilitate training initiatives and mentor Pharmacy Associates. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid's brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes. Responsibilities
The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
% TIME

Track & evaluate progress of training of the Pharmacy Associates within the region through monitoring and observance, and make independent judgment decisions as needed.
30%

Conduct training according to established Rite Aid Pharmacy Technician Training Program curriculum.
20%

Assist Region Pharmacy Leaders in the execution of Rite Aid training programs.
15%

Travel to stores within the region to assist with training and developing Pharmacy Associates.
10%

Perform module and/or job certifications consistent with the Rite Aid Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
10%

Participate with the interviewing, hiring and onboarding process and making hiring recommendations.
10%

Assists pharmacy manager to assess Pharmacy Associates and provide mentoring and coaching for performance improvement.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience

H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Rite Aid Pharmacy Technician Certification or National Certification (PTCB or NHA) is required required.

1 year of experience in Retail and/or pharmacy operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience
required.

Strong communication skills required.

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations
• Other, PLEASE LIST BY NAME Pharmacy Technician License required by State (National Certification in states where registration/license is not offered) required
• Other, PLEASE LIST BY NAME Pharmacy Technician National Certification (CPhT or ExCPT) issued by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcare Association (NHA) required within 6 months in role required

Drug-Free Workplace Policy
