Under the supervision of a Medical Technologist/ Site supervisor, performs a wide variety of laboratory procedures in all specialty areas within the lab in accordance with the defined scope of practice, federal and state laws and regulations, accreditation requirements and certification standards; insures all required information and documentation are accurately, timely and correctly submitted.

- REQUIRED: New York State Department of Education License or Limited Permit as a Clinical Laboratory Technician.
- Prior laboratory experience preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Specimen Analysis. Perform precise specimen analysis and report results accurately following established procedures; recognize deviation from expected results, analyze and correct problems using scientific principles; refer unresolved problems to MT or supervisor for resolution assistance; channel essential information and investigate laboratory problems
- Technology Management. Perform routine instrument maintenance and basic troubleshooting; complete QC action logs, preventative maintenance logs and pending lists daily; participate in the installation, validation and correlation of new technology
- Process Management. Continuously assess work processes and make suggestions to supervisor for improved work methods and ways to increase efficiency, reduce costs and solve operational problems; document technical competency annually; communicate with external customers when presented with problems or special requests

PAY RANGE:
$25.64 - $32.74
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
