About the Program and Position:
Texas Baptist Home for Children (TBHC) serves foster children and supports foster/adoptive families throughout the DFW area. We are a Christian agency whose purpose is to: Glorify God by Caring for Children.
Our Regional Foster Care/Adoption Supervisor role is vital to our Tyler office as it will be establishing and growing the agency's presence in that region. To provide quality care to the children and families, this will require team coordination, organization and some travel throughout the Tyler area.
Must have a degree in Social Work or a related field. Previous experience is preferred.
Schedule
- Office Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:00
- Will require some travel to the Waxahachie area for trainings
- May require after hours to complete services
- Occasional weekends for special events
- On Call Rotation Schedule
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform and oversee the following activities related to foster care programs.
- Provide support and supervision of foster parents.
- Monitor foster care client records for compliance with internal policy and public regulations.
- Provide support for new workers or workers still developing competencies.
- Coordinates services with other community agencies or service providers.
- Reviews and monitors training needs of foster care staff and foster parents.
- Advocate for children in care by coordinating and working with TBHC treatment team members DFPS staff, community agencies, and service providers.
- Participates in and contributes to the success of TBHC agency-wide events: trainings, fundraising events, special emphasis events, meetings, etc.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing structure and support to direct care staff.
- Performs LCPAA Responsibilities for the Regional office.
