Job Overview:
Houston-based Child Placing Agency seeks experienced Child Placement Staff to manage cases to promote permanency, safety, and well-being for children placed in foster homes. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, exhibit an ability to adhere to regulations, work independently within the framework of a team modality, maintain organization and utilize professional relationship building skills with children, foster families, CPA team members, social service agencies, and the community.
Duties include:
Assessment/evaluation/admissions of children for placement; on-going management of individual cases to include development/ updates of service plans, on-going contact with child and foster/adoptive parents; maintain records, provide support and training for foster/adoptive parents, initiate and complete family/child assessments; plan, review, and implements behavior interventions with CPA team; and attend weekly staffing meetings. Conducting duties related to foster parent training, foster home, and file parent compliance, and ensuring adherence to HHSC Minimum Standards for Child Placing Agencies.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or other human service field of study (psychology, sociology, counseling, etc.)
- Two (2) years of experience in a residential child-care operation, conservatorship caseworker, or foster adoptive home development worker for Texas' Department of Family and Protective Services
- Two (2) years working under the direct supervision of child placement management staff.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
