Regional Director of the Centerfor Social Impact

Salary/Grade:

$65,000 - $70,000

Job Summary:

Regional Director of the Centerfor Social Impact plays a crucial role in the development, maintenance, and growth of student-based workforce development initiatives, community partnerships, and civic engagement. This position will work collaboratively with the Innovation College@Elm and ASPIRE teams to ensure cross-campus collaboration in various workforce development domains. Duties/Physical Demands:

The Director ofthe Center for Social Impact will develop, conduct, and facilitate programming focused on enhancing student civic engagement; Activities include voter/poll registration, voter education, civic skills education, and civic community advocacy; Collaborate with ASPIRE, Innovation College@Elm and other Miami University departments, centers, institutes, and community partners to cultivate innovative solutions for workforce challenges, including support of grant applications and proposals aimed at the workforce and community development; Represent the Regionals in applicable ASPIRE programming to advance the mission of Innovation College@Elm and enhance the university’s role in partnerships that support regional economic growth; Support volunteerism and community engagement, while fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge exchange between academia and practical application; Manage the Center for Social Impact to ensure quality student and community services which includes budgeting, ReFuel and food pantry coordination; Manage the application process and ensure the institutional commitment to meet and sustain the requirements necessary for community engagement and leadership for public purpose Carnegie Classifications; Oversee grant programs housed in the Center for Social Impact and serve as the primary investigator (PI) as appropriate; Supervise departmental professionals, support, and student staff; Represent CSI on the divisional and the university committees as appropriate; Provide timely reports to the university constituents.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree and two years of professional experience in community or civic engagement activities.

Desired Qualifications:

Consideration may be given to candidates with experience in the Ohio Civic Health Report; Staff and/or volunteer supervision experience; Strong organization, written, and oral communication skills; Ability to oversee multiple tasks with attention to detail; Ability to work with a broad range of internal and external constituents including students, community members, alumni, faculty, and staff; Proficient with MS Office suite and Google Suite.
