Ferrellgas is looking for a Region Safety Manager to join the team! Under broad supervision, this position is responsible for safety training programs within the assigned region. The incumbent manages a variety of quality review and compliance programs, ensuring that employees are trained timely and in accordance to company standards. This position requires extensive travel approximately 50% of the time within the assigned region. The incumbent will support the South Region Service Centers for the company.

- Responsible for oversight of the overall Ferrellgas technical training program within the assigned area of responsibility. Includes the following areas: initial, refresher, skill evaluations, Certified Skills Evaluator Program (CSE), Certified Driver Program (CDT), and VK Inspectors.
- Manages assigned Region’s Quality Review program. Responsible for performing Region Safety Audits, oversees the Service Center Checklist Program, and monitors the documentation process to ensure all safety related programs are in compliance.

- Provides guidance to Field Management on ways to improve Service Center “Safety” deficiency trends.
- Participates in the due diligence assessments for acquisition candidates.
- Acts as an expert concerning the Safety and Technical Support sections of the Ferrell Way, and any local regulations. (NFPA, IFC, State and local Government)
- Serves as member of the PPRC, as a Retail Operations Representative.
- Provides technical assistance as needed to field locations.
- Conducts field incident reviews and participates on corporate reviews.
- Assists Corporate Safety with administration and monitoring of DHS Programs in the region.
- Assists with EAC for assigned region.
- Completes special projects as assigned by Corporate Safety periodically.
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of work-related experience, propane experience.
- Class B CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements required.
- Working knowledge of DOT guidelines and regulations.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Demonstrates ability to implement and manage compliance requirements.
- Ability to study, learn, and apply code requirements as needed.
