Recycling Office Clerk

Position Summary:

In this position the employee-owner will assist management with various tasks that involve the recycling of metal products in a team and customer-service oriented industrial environment.

These include, but are not limited to paying customers, answering the phone and scheduling pick-ups and drop-offs, operating a computer, sorting, filing, entering data, balancing, preparing mail, and any other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will also be expected to learn the materials/grades associated with metals recycling. Occasional work outside in a warehouse setting to sort and process materials will be expected.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED required

• Must have the ability to multitask in an often fast-paced work environment

• Has the ability to communicate well with others in person, on phone and email, and maintain a professional friendly demeanor.

• Is comfortable with counting and using basic math throughout the day

• Likes using computers, and ideally already has familiarity with software systems such as Microsoft Office

• Can easily switch back and forth between standing, sitting and walking short distances throughout the work day

• Enjoys being a team player

The successful candidate must be ambitious, have a great attitude toward the company and other team members, and have excellent customer service skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
