HOURS PER DAY VARY DEPENDING ON SUPPORT NEEDED.
Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)
- This position will work with teachers and students in the Extended School Year (ESY) program.
- Supervise the arrival and departure of students.
- Ability to take initiative and follow through with directions.
- When appropriate, will occasionally assist with lessons.
- Supervises students during bussing, in classrooms and hallways restroom breaks.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull 75 lbs.
- Assist with toileting and diaper changes as needed.
- Must be able to assist in the implementation of IEP's.
- Follow direction given by teachers of ESY program.
- Preference will be given to individuals previously trained in Nonviolent Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques
- Preference will be given to individuals with training and experience with ABA/AVBA procedures.
- Accept supervision and direction from teachers as you assist with instruction and practice of academics, daily living, social and behavioral skill development.
- Assist with data collection regarding behavior, academic, and daily living skills.
- Support with work experience opportunities where appropriate for secondary transition activities.
Physical Requirements of Position: (HBV ? Yes ? No)
Position will require lifting, toileting, diaper changing, feeding, and management of problem behavior.

8. Must be a team player to assist in all aspects needed within the classroom, cafeteria, hallway, as examples
9. Must have good "people" skills to work with students, others in the classroom and the building
10 MUST HAVE TRAINING IN AND EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH ABA/AVBA PROCEDURES
11 EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH THE STUDENTS ATTENDING ESY WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY.
12 Positions are subject to reduction based upon the enrollment number of students in the summer program.
13 Due to the need for consistency in programming and services during the summer program, more than 3 absences may result in termination
14 Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students and their families to insure that each child reaches his/her full potential.
