We have an immediate need for a Recycling Laborer to be responsible for assisting visitors, monitoring the placement of recyclables into proper containers, and maintaining a safe and clean facility.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate recycling collection schedules to optimize service and efficiency.
- Operate computer and standard office equipment.
- Assists customers, processes material in the facility.
- Collect and organize metals, paper, cardboard, electronics, toner and batteries to their appropriate containers.
- Collect recyclable materials from buildings for delivery to the recycling center.
- Operate state bed vehicles and back them to loading dock areas.
- Operate balers to compress recyclable materials into bundles or bales.
- Record logs of recycled materials.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, power lifts, or front-end loaders to load bales, bundles, or other heavy items onto trucks for shipping to other recycled materials processing facilities.
- Clean recycling building by sweeping, picking up loose paper debris, or moving barrels and bins.
Top candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience or the equivalent in training and related experience and a valid driver's license with acceptable history.
