Alaska Scrap & Recycling in Anchorage is now hiring a full time Seasonal Freon Processing Technician.

ENTRY LEVEL. WILLING TO TRAIN the right individual. NO EXPERIENCE Needed. GREAT OPPORTUNITY for a recent graduate OR someone with Metals Recycling experience OR someone just entering the work force OR someone just looking to learn a new skill!

MUST HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD (no more than 2 driving violations in past 2 years)

Pay is $15.00 per hour

Position is Full Time Seasonal. Position is expected to end on or around Sept. 20, 2024.

Hours are Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm

FREON PROCESSING TECHNICIANS may work and assist in a variety of duties in the scrap yard as assigned. Main duties include but are not limited to:

• Freon removal from vehicles & appliances
• Identifying & processing non-ferrous & ferrous materials
• Maintaining a well-organized and orderly production area
• Operating light to medium equipment
• Loading and unloading of material to/from containers and/or customer vehicle

BENEFITS INCLUDE:

• Retirement - 401k with employer match
• Medical Benefit - $1.80 per hour for every Regular Hour (overtime hours not included), Holiday Hour & PTO Hour earned & paid each pay period up to a maximum of 80 Hours & $144 per pay period
