ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Consult with Director of Attorney Recruiting to discuss lateral hiring needs and job openings
- Maintain an understanding of the firm’s practice areas, as well as individual lawyers’ practices
- Post job descriptions on the firm’s website and other sites
- Source and screen application materials and provide shortlist of qualified candidates to Director of Attorney Recruiting
- Coordinate and schedule video conferences and in-person interviews between the firm’s attorneys and lateral candidates
- Greet candidates upon arrival and escort them to interviews
- Collect and distribute interview feedback
- Maintain and update recruiting database and files to reflect candidates’ status
- Support all aspects of law student recruitment, including OCI, callbacks, and offers
- Communicate with law school career office personnel and law students
- Assist with coordination of recruiting events, including venue logistics and support
- Assist with planning and implementing the summer associate program, including orientation, manuals, work assignments, social events and trainings
- Manage interview-related travel and logistics
- Process recruiting department invoices
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of recruiting procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work across all levels of management and build relationships
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects, successfully prioritize workload, and adjust to changing priorities as needed
- Detail-oriented and able to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential information
- Strong client services skills
- Proactive, goal-oriented, and able to understand when urgency is required
- Ability to work both independently and effectively with coworkers in a collaborative environment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 plus years of recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience with an ATS / applicant tracking system (preferably viRecruit)
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter
