Juice Generation is looking for an enthusiastic and quick-thinking Recruiting Coordinator to join our Human Resources department at our midtown Manhattan office. You will assist in the full employee life cycle, from recruitment for in-store and corporate positions to maintaining our HRIS system. You will be working on a day-to-day basis with senior executives in the office and store management so you should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate is a friendly, self-motivated person with good judgment that can collaborate well with other members of the HR and Operations departments in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Sourcing & Recruiting: Assist with coordinating interviews and informing candidates of next steps.
- Pre-Employment: Conducts pre-employment background checks, including but not limited to reference checks and criminal background checks.
- Onboarding Support: Supports the onboarding process by completing I-9s, E-verify, Direct Deposit, and employee training updates. Performs other HR administrative tasks and special projects as assigned by the People Manager.
- Employee Support: Assists employees with basic questions about benefits, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, and other HR/policy issues.
- Maintain HRIS system: Maintains current and former employee files up to date in HRIS system (Paycom) in accordance with Federal and State laws and regulations. This includes updating attendance notes, assisting with file audits as well as scanning and purging files.
- Terminations: Process voluntary and involuntary termination notices and close employee accounts. Responds to unemployment insurance requests, as applicable, in a timely fashion.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and recruitment deadlines.
- High energy and enthusiasm.
- Strong sense of urgency.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in Retail or Hospitality recruiting a plus
