As a Recruiter at Youth Shelters and Family Services, you will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top-tier talent to support our organizations objectives. You will collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience.
What would my job responsibilities be?
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and create detailed job descriptions.
- Source and attract qualified candidates through various channels, including online job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals.
- Conduct initial screenings to assess candidate suitability and alignment with company culture.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, providing support and guidance to both hiring managers and candidates.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing to offer negotiation
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in recruitment
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Provide assistance in financial and program audits.
- Provide support with completion of employee data reports (to include assembling, preparing, and analyzing data).
- Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
- Provide support by entering, formatting, and printing information.
- Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
- Coordinate training for new hire and existing employees by coordinating with internal or external trainers.
- Track training by identifying and when various employees require trainings or refresher courses, calendar management, enrollment of employees, and tracking training completion.
What are the qualifications and experience I need to become a recruiter?
- Associate degree in Human Services, Human Resources, Business Administration and one year of relevant experience preferred.
- OR HR Certificate or two to three years related experience.
- OR 3 to 5 years of related experience and a high school diploma or GED.
- Experience with homeless and at-risk youth, preferred.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with hiring managers and candidates
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
What are the scheduled shift you are looking to fill?
- Monday through Friday between 8AM to 5PM
What does the pay look like for this position?
- Starting rate of pay is $20/hour or higher depending on experience.
