Position Description:Receptionist/Accounts Payable Clerk
Part-time 24 hours per week

Job Summary:
The Receptionist/Accounts Payable Clerk works under the general supervision of the Office Manager to answer phones, provide support to administrative staff and pay invoices.
Essential Functions:
- Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
- Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
- Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Processing due invoices for payments
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job
- Must be able to relate positively and favorably and work cooperatively with staff
- Good problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to balance day-to-day management priorities of people, projects and deadlines, and adhere to a budget.
- Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must meet all local health regulations. This requirement also includes criminal background investigation, drug testing and reference inquiry
Administrative Support:
- Make updates to the phone system and fax machine.
- Sort mail and deliver packages.
- Make weekly bank deposits.
- Prepare and mail/email correspondence as requested.
- Order office supplies and get postage.
- Prepare and print brochures, letterhead, and multiple forms for various departments.
- Assist in preparation of year end documents and audit reports.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations and Other Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED, Associate degree and/or experience in accounting or related field preferred but not required
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the community for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to physically assist residents with mobility and transfers as needed.
- Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to perform tasks such as writing, typing, and operating office equipment.
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, and resident charts.
- Ability to hear and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and other individuals.
- Stamina to handle the demands of a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach to perform various job-related functions.
