Essential Functions:
⦁ Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, organization skills, detail-orientation, and thoroughness at work.
⦁ Answer and respond to all telephone calls and general inquiries. Greet visitors and patients. Have a comforting attitude towards patients and ability to handle stressful situations.
⦁ Process intake paperwork, check patient insurance benefits, and keep patient informed about insurance details and appointments.
⦁ Schedule and confirm appointments. Maintain calendars for clinicians. Respond to phone messages and emails.
⦁ Get trained in Clinical Management Software for daily use.
⦁ Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Facebook, and Evite.
⦁ Maintain new and current patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information, insurance details, like deductibles and copays.
⦁ Respect confidentiality and privacy of patients per HIPAA law. Comply with company policies and procedures.
⦁ Communicate with therapists by providing schedules, appointments, and cancellations in a timely manner.
⦁ Open and maintain appropriate files to organize the office such as invoicing, billing, accounts receivables, reminder letters, pending payments etc. Communicate with insurance companies to resolve denials.
⦁ Proofread and prepare letters and documents as dictated by the therapists.
⦁ Ensure that all office equipment, furniture and are maintained in proper working condition. Place orders for office supplies after checking the inventory.
Qualifications:
⦁ High School / College diploma
⦁ 1-2 years’ experience in similar role
⦁ Possession of current valid Illinois state driving license, reliable transportation, and telephone
⦁ Strong written and verbal communication skills
⦁ General computer knowledge and proficiency.
⦁ Ability to quickly learn Clinical Management Software used for day-to-day operations.
⦁ Excellent telephone manners and good public relations and Interpersonal relationship skills.
⦁ Learn to work with confidential documents and procedures and knowledge of counseling and ethical practice guidelines.
