Summary

To support Michigan Medicine's Enterprise Datacenters, we are seeking a Datacenter Shipping and Receiving Clerk. You will have daily responsibilities maintaining and handling incoming and outgoing shipments and other miscellaneous tasks in the Michigan Medicine Datacenters.

Responsibilities*

Full-time temporary position with job duties including, but not limited to:

• Receiving shipments and mail
• Performing inventory of deliveries
• General administrative and clerical support
• Sign in visitors and guests
• Data-entry
• Assist in unpacking and moving IT parts and equipment.

Daily responsibilities will include working on-site during normal business hours.

Required Qualifications*

• Have strong writing and organization skills
• Have good analytical and problem resolution skills
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team
• Required to stand for moderate periods of time, bend, kneel and lift moderately heavy objects

Desired Qualifications*

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience working in an office or warehouse

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
