We are currently seeking a Receiving Clerk Administratorwith experience working as a Receiving Clerk with industry experience working in Warehouse Administration or the construction/landscaping industry to join our Purchasing department. What You Will Be Doing
- Responsible for entering purchase orders into our systems (Counter Point & NAV) as well as keeping inventory accurate and correct for other The Bruce Company materials.
- Assist in creating and entering purchase orders into Counter Point and NAV system.
- Report shortages or damaged material to vendors.
- Accurately enter all receiving into Counter Point and NAV.
- Enter barcodes and item profile characteristics.
- Report reasons for discrepancy errors in checking in our counts to the Warehouse Manager.
- Uses excellent customer service skills, and establishes and maintains effective working relationships with managers, Employees, and vendors.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Work is primarily performed indoors with exposure to standard office conditions, including exposure to heating and air conditioning and operation of computers.
- Regularly sits, stands, walks, talks, and listens for long periods throughout the day.
- Occasionally lifts weight of up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally required to reach above shoulders.
- Vision and fine motor skills are required for the use of computers and creating communication.
Schedule
- This is a Full-time (40-50 hours per week) year-round position.
- Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Occasional overtime as workload dictates
- Hours vary during peak season.
The Skills You Need
- Must be detail-oriented and have strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of computers.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with Microsoft Navision (NAV) and Counterpoint (POS) is helpful.
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
- Mathematical skills, such as calculation of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and dimensions (areas, diameters, etc) are necessary.
- Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to be able to effectively interact with employees, management, and vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality when working with sensitive organizational information.
