Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Your role will involve working in a warehouse environment, utilizing various equipment and systems to fulfill orders and maintain inventory.

Duties:
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, or other equipment
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Inspect packages for damage or discrepancies
- Sort, label, and organize products in designated areas
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) or AS400 to track inventory and update records
- Operate RF scanners to scan barcodes and ensure proper product identification
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and meet shipping deadlines
- Prepare shipping documents, such as bills of lading or shipping labels
- Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups or resolve shipment issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating quantities
- Experience with order picking using RF scanners or other handheld devices
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading procedures and safety protocols
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) or AS400 is preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment safely and efficiently

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
