The Receiving Clerk is responsible for the receipt and distribution of materials and inventory.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receives good and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and /or trailers; checks against suppliers' count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers supervisor, and purchasing officer per company policy.
- Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments.
- Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records for requested categories including goods returned, dunnage, and returned pallets.
- Notify supervisor of major discrepancies, over shipments, and/or substitutions.
- Perform weekly or monthly cycle counting of inventory.
- Separate inventory into various sizes.
- Move containers into warehouse area with the use of a pallet jack.
- Maintain storage areas, organize and place stock on shelves or designated storage areas.
- Disassemble containers and crates, pack inventory to be shipped and prepares identifying information and shipping instructions.
- Ensure proper documentation of incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Ensure work areas are always safe and secure.
- Perform other clerical duties as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
- Basic understanding of warehouse procedures.
- Good organizational skills and attention to details.
- Strong desire to learn.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year working in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to navigate the loading and unloading of materials, which may include access to a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, reaching, climbing, bending, and standing.
- Must be able to lift up to twenty five pounds at a time.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in a warehouse.
