We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our warehouse. ```Duties```
- Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders or invoices
- Inspect received goods for damages or defects
- Sort, label, and store received items in designated areas
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items
- Ensure accuracy of shipment details, such as addresses, quantities, and product codes
- Utilize warehouse management system to track inventory levels and update records
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, or other equipment to move and transport goods within the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks using proper lifting techniques and equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
```Skills```
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Experience operating reach trucks, order pickers, stock pickers, pallet jacks, or forklifts
- Proficiency in basic math for inventory counting and verification
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory
- Ability to load and unload goods safely using proper lifting techniques
- Knowledge of distribution center operations and e-commerce processes
